weird this just started...at high speed breaking i get a pretty bad shaking in steering wheel...i have slotted rotors with the pos tec break pads... figure they have about 35k on them...from what ive read some say the shaking could be from the tierod's and some say its the rotors...i havent hit anything so whats the chances of it being the tierod's?...can i have the rotors turned and just replace the pads...will this get rid of the shaking?..or will i have to bite the bullet and buy new rotors?...

If they are good, I'd try the brake bedding again....
If that didn't work, I'd probably turn the rotors a bit, then see if that fixed it.
During the rotor turning, check the bearings for wear/ adjustment..
Other than that????

35k IS where there has been some failures of the tierods BTW... so not that unusual as far as this board is concerned.. but a bit early to be normal

I agree with Steve on the bedding. Sounds like what you have is brake judder caused by uneven pad material deposited on your rotors. It won't hurt matters, but it's well worth doing it.
my car has 62k steve... so yea ill have the whole system checked...after the bedding..
bernie...yea i did the bedding when i first got my new rotors and pads but i didnt think you had to do it again...ill try that tomorrow 1st thing before i do any thing else..thanks guys
