So prior to purchasing my 300c the dealer had brand new brake pads installed.
Now i understand its normal for some or most cars wiith new brakes to squeak when you apply pressure. Its kinda driving me nuts so i was curious as to how long on average it takes for this screeching noise to stop.

get used to it, it's a common problem with the oem brakes
you can try bedding your brakes, may take more than one try
mine still squeek after over 10,000 KM with light pedal pressure applied
good luck

With those new pads, I believe you need to bed your brakes properly. Below is the link on how to do that by our own supporting vendor, Zeckhausen. My brakes/pads are almost 5 years old and I don't have squealing.
My first set of brakes squeaked like a stuck pig. I kept getting the things checked.
Kept finding out there was nothing wrong.
Eventually I got new brakes. Now, after about 10000 miles, they're squeaking like a stuck pig again.
This drives me nuts.

I've got the Centric Posi-Quiets on the MSRT8 and with proper bedding I've never had a squeel. I used the bedding technique with the OEM pads and never heard a sound either... but the dust... the dust!

In love with my first wife & first car ('68 Charger) ... still have the wife
but now there's the Heritage Edition and a Magnum SRT8!
I never had the squeel until after I changed rotors at 55,000 miles. I tried bedding and that did not work. all brake experts tell / told me it can not be the rotors. Put on ceramic posi quiets and the noise stopped for a few months. Did the bedding also. But.. Did not last and came back. Try turning up the radio or closing the windows or pretending its not there. Being a wise guy but thats all I have left. Keep telling myself if this is the worst there is - the car is pretty good.
The squealing is a result of the dust from the pads. When the brakes are applied, the dust against the rotor vibrates and causes a squeal. This used to be a problem with very hard pads as well as the softer ones. Sometimes grooves machined into the rotors will carry dust away and minimise squealing, but not always.
If you have a selection of pads to choose from, you have a chance of either cutting out the noise, or at best, minimising it.
If you want to check to see if this is in fact the problem, hose the discs and calipers and take it for a run. At first, all should be ok, but it will very soon start to squeal again. DON'T HOSE THE BRAKES WHILE THEY ARE HOT.
