SS Lines & Stock system

Well, after ordering the Stoptech SS lines (stock rotors/calipers) through Zeckhausen in April, I finally put them on today 6/04/05. Painted calipers as well
A Very easy job to do with online instructions from Dave (be careful when using the laptop in the garage, in addition to eating paint, brake fluid will damage plastic surfaces )
I did the rears last week and found the fronts had the wrong fittings. Called Stoptech, described the fitting and they indicated the wrong fitting was indeed the problem. Stoptech cust. svc is SUPURB. In addition to sending out new lines, they wanted photos of the fitting and label to do an internal investigation on how this happened, OTHER COMPANIES PAY ATTENTION HERE.
The SS lines do make a difference, there is less initial pedal travel but once the initial travel is over, there is hardly any movement of the pedal, more pressure = more braking, essentially the point where the "meat" of the braking is done is reached sooner and the braking seems much more responsive. A worthy upgrade yes, more responsive pedal yes, the stock brakes are'nt bad at all and someone else driving the car might note the breaks are great but will never know it has SS lines (generally does not cross one's mind). My wife who occasionaly drives the C will prolly notice but she is biased since she knows something is up given she pumped the pedal for bleeding. To sum it up, I would definately do it again and recommend it with the understanding that the gains are in feel and responsiveness which are very subjective and has the potential for bias given one's expectations.

I got Duplicolor caliper paint from Advance Auto fro $10 or so. It is high temp and just goes on like any other brush paint. For $50 + shipping, G2 is a better produt I am told. It is a two part acrylic product that is mixed and applied with a brush. Supposed to be more durable. I decided to save the $40+ and put that into something else like the FatMat sound deadener for the trunk.

Hey Kings. Definatly looks nice, in fact i might consider new lines myself down the road.

Anyways....my question (which i asked before on here and went unanswered) is do you think i will be ok using duplicolor high temp SPRAY on my calipers?

I want the calipers to be the same 'hemi orange' as my engine cover and custom emblem, and would use the same highheat ceramic paint i used on my engine cover. (prime, several coats, clearcoat). Im not too familiar with the process of painting the capilers, hence me asking. Can someone please give me some insight?

Good questions, I know the G2 which is supurb is also a brush on. I imagine that high heat spray on would work well but you better mask EVERYTHING including fenders doors etc. very well.
