Uneven brake dust

Guys,

I've had the current pads on about 3 months.

I've got EBC Red Stuff all round, stock rotors on the rear and EBC dimpled/slotted rotors on the front.

I cleaned the car two weeks ago and since then I have noticed, that the brake dust on the rears is very heavy, whilst the fronts have hardly any evidence of brake dust.

It's totally the opposite to what you'd normally expect to find.
The car is still stopping fine, there's a bit of squealing from the front but nothing sinister.

I'm going to change the brake fluid at the weekend as I've haven't changed it for a while. DOT4 would be ok?

Cheers
Steve

Hi Steve. These cars wear the rear brakes out faster than the fronts because of ESP and the brake lock diferential, both which are applying the brakes. I turn my ESP off in the city as a routine.

Thanks Bernie,
I've had my C over four years and 137,000 miles and I've never noticed the rear brake dust, unless it's just more evident with these EBC pads.
It sure don't feel like anything's wrong.

I do turn the ESP off at the dash (when I remember) but I can't do it properly until I replace my Predator.

Cheers
Steve
