How do i tell if I need new rotors??

Kind of a dumb question but im not rally a brake guy. Ive been getting alot of squealing and not much stopping power lately so i ordered a new set of bendix pads. Im trying to find out if I should pick up a new set of rotors also. How can I tell if my problems are just the pads just the rotors or both?

If you're going to the trouble of changing the pads, why not a few bucks on the rotors as well ?

I just did my rears at 25,000 miles. I bought the Bendix pads, and was considering turning the rotors. Then I started thinking about the machining skills of some of the folks who do that kind of thing, and their ability to get a flat surface, hold .0012 runout, etc., and all of a sudden $55 dollar rotors from MoparSupercenter looked real attractive.

My local shop did the install and a BG brake flush for $106.

Just don't forget to bed them after the change. They did it for me, but not all shops would, or would I trust all shops.

Good point but the fronts are almost $90 which means that when all is said and done im paying about $300 for something that I may not need right now. Id rather make sure that i need them before I spend money on something i dont need. I can think of alot of other things id rather drop $300 on.
