I own a limited jus put 22's a couple of days ago on, i don't have any problems thank god but, would you guys still recommend an upgrade??
If you don't want to go the aftermarket route, I can possibly help you out with another alternative, the C and Magnum R/T have a larger rotor and caliper than the Limited, and I believe it is a bolt on replacement. There has been a write up on the change over in the brake section. I happen to have changed out my calipers on both the front and rear and would be willing to part with the stock "C" ones. PM me if you have an interest in the calipers and pads, you would only need to get the larger rotors from Chrysler. Much cheaper than the full Wilwood or other kits.
Hi gang. I bought my '06 300C on 7-1-05 and within a week put 22" Double G 101's on it. The stock brakes seemed fine but I went ahead and replaced the stock rotors with Irotors crossed drilled and sloted ones. Plus their pads. Stops great now! I do not really rod my car so for my use it was a cheap upgade that you can actually tell is working. I thought about a Brembo, etc. big brake kit but the $4K + cost was more then I wanted to spend. Plus again...I do not race or drive to crazy so don't really need them. Total cost with the rotors, pads, and Big-O installing them was about $700.00.
'06 LOADED Satin Jade Pearl 300C
K&N CAI
one off Magnaflow exhaust
22" wheels and tires
limo tint
cross drilled and sloted rotors
E&G SS mesh grille
Don't know how this relates but I just got rid of a Nissan Armada due to problems with under engineering of the front brakes. it was due to the size rim and weight of the car. after about 10K the rotors warped and caused a serious vibration in the front end. Like I said I don't know how this relates to the 300c but it an example of what happens do to incorrect breaks. The 300's seem to have good size breaks but there could be some issues like this when going to bigger and heavier rims and tires. And thanks to Nissan because their problem got us into the 300 woooohhooooo WHAT A CAR!!!!

from everything ive read on here.....im under the impression that we (C owners) are supposed to stay away from the crossdrilled+slotted rotors. appearantly we only want just slotted rotors i guess, for some reason or another? do a search and i think you will find this mentioned more than once on here. anyone have any info? im thinking about upgrading my rotors, but dont want any of that 'ebay' crap, but also dont want to spend too much on them. any good ideas/alternatives?
Hmmm....lots of talk against this part or that...or in this case crossed drilled rotors. And in most cases most of the people have never used or really have any idea of what they are talking about. They are playing the old game of phone booth....just passing on what they heard someone else say. I have used crossed drilled, sloted, and crossed drilled and slotted rotors on the last 4-5 cars/trucks I have owned. I have NEVER had a problem with cracking, warping, etc. If you look at all the high end performance cars and trucks out there you will see that MOST run crossed drilled and slotted rotors. Must be a reason??? So I would only take advise or listen to those who are actually using a given part. I have not looked on ebay for rotors so I can not comment on what they are selling there. I did buy my K&N CAI from ebay and am very happy with it. For my brake upgrade I went with a company called Irotors and am VERY happy with the rotors and pads. With the 22's on it it stops the car very well with little or no fade that I can feel. Now I do not race or really drive my 300C hard so if your into that I would say you should bump up to the Brimbo or the like in a "Big Brake Kit" to get better calipers and bigger rotors. But if your just looking for some added stoping with your new big wheels....then this is a pretty cheap way to go (about $700 for rotors and pads).
Just my 2 cent worth.
