Question Why does the bottom of my Dub Grill look like this?? (pixs) (moved)

I bought this used Mopar/Dub Grill from a member here. The question I have is why can I see these "brackets" on the lower Bottom mid to left side of the grill? Anyone else have the same issues?

Ideas?

Yep....He told me it was perfect.

The grill is used, but looks brand new. Deffinatly no damage.
It took my car to the body shop and they showed me that the left mesh area is flatten/pushed in and that's why the brackets are showing. Now the member is telling me it's "as-is" and to bring it up with UPS. So where did this damage occur on his car or on the UPS truck?

How much did you pay for this grill? Did the seller post pictures of the grill before shipping it? Is there any way you can have the grill fixed?

$525. There were straight on pixs yes, but the only way to notice there was damage was the body shop had to show me it was pushed in just a bit to expose the brackets.

The box that the grille was shipped in was a reused. As it was cut along the long end and just retaped - so the box did not have very good stability for crushing - even with the bubblewrap. UPS will deny the claim based upon the box condition that it was shipped in.

The seller is giving me the FU right now. Blaming me and/or the body shop that installed it - so I'll guess I'll just dispute with my credit card company.

Man, why can't people be reasonable.

Man sorry to hear about the seller deny reasonability. The seller should step up because $525 for a damaged grill is BS and trying to pin it on UPS is complete rubbish . If you paid using Paypal then file a complaint with them first even though Paypal will deny it because they don't cover 'items not as described' and then file a chargeback with your credit card company. That way you have a record and can show your CC Company that the seller denied reasonability and you filed a Paypal complaint. Good luck.

Since djjq said his also looked like that, I would think it is just the way the grill is built... ?
Anyone else with a DUB grill that can confirm/dispute this?

Yeah the member had a pix posted....but then days after I PayPal'd him....several days later, he told me that he had just removed the grill from his car and what a pain in the butt it was. So....how can you post a pix of a grill laying on a table if it's STILL on the car until several days after I bought it?

He's complaining I should have noticed the damage right away and I took too long to notice it. The grill was install on Friday. The body shop is closed on the weekend and I could not get there by 5:30 on Monday, so I left work early today to go back to body shop and have them explain and show me that the grill was pushed in a bit. At least I got written documentation from the Body Shop as proof.

As one that has a "Dub" Grille...I can most assuredly attest that the grille is NOT suppose to look like that, and show the bracket

My grille is perfectly flush, with nary a "fit & finish" issue in sight. Sorry to hear of this, it without a doubt was crushed at some point, and HARD these are VERY strong metal grilles
