Sirius Installation in Alberta?

Hello, everybody, I am the proud new owner of a 2006 300C in Calgary. Less than a week with the new car, very happy so far. This forum looks like a very interesting and useful place, I'm still reading up.
The one thing that annoyed me so far is the fact that I cannot use Sirius satellite radio anymore, since I don't want to change the factory head unit with the Alpine I have from my previous car. I read that I can order the add-on Sirius unit and have it installed, but the reaction of the dealers in Calgary I've asked if they will install it was like "What is satellite radio?" I understand that I need something to be set up on the board computer for the unit to be fully integrated with the factory head unit. Does anybody know of a dealer in Calgary (or somewhere in Alberta) who has a clue about Sirius installation?
Thanks.

I have the exact same question as you, and I live just north of Edmonton. Hopefully this bumps your post back up to the top, and someone who knows will respond for us

There are instructions that come with the kit. If you don't get them, PM me... I scanned them to a pdf.

There are two different versions of the kit. One with a two wire antenna, and a newer one with a single wire, lower profile antenna.

There are two things to order. One has the receiver and antenna, the other has the wiring harness and antenna cable. I got mine from www.eastwaychrysler.ca who is in the Toronto area, has competitive pricing and knows wtf to order for you. If you get someone who isn't sure, ask for Adam, the manager. I've been through it all with him, so I know he knows. He's a good guy.

Once the install is done, the FCM (Front Control Module) needs to be told the unit's installed, using a StarScan. This enables the channel name to appear in your EVIC.

You can see pictures from my install at http://ca.geocities.com/srt8_@rogers.com/

Thanks, jaak!
Another question - who would have that StarScan tool and how can we "navigate" towards this person at a Chrysler dealership/service? In other words, what should we answer to the service advisor's question "What can we do for you today?" so that they can direct us to the proper department/technician?
Don't laugh, advisors can be your worst enemy if asked about service not listed on their computer.
