Nav DVD - East Coast & Alberta - lack of places?

I don't see the point of them listing Nova Scotia and Newfoundland on the latest nav DVD when there are no places you can select in them!
Actually Nova Scotia has like a few places but only on the far far left of the province... you can't even scroll to 99% of N.S. and can't select anything in Nfld!

Also was planning a trip to Alberta and there is nothing north of Edmonton I can select! haha

Anyone else notice this?

That's cuz there's not much north of Edmonton and what there is, there's only one road leading to it. Pretty hard to get lost up there.

Haha. When I lived out there (Lower Sackville, now part of Halifax), it was pretty much the same, either the 101 or 102. Stay away from the Valley though. The Golar's live there. In breeding gone bad, very bad. I used to do recruiting all over Nova Scotia and never found it hard to get around. Everything moves at a much slower pace so all you gotta do is pull over and ask someone like Annie the goat girl for directions, Hell ya might even get lucky. Can you tell I hated the maritimes?...haha.

So what would you do if you were going to Nfld?
I admit I don't NEED the nav to find my way around... but it sure would make things easier since I'll be driving all over the place when I go next.
Is ver AD the most recent nav disc? Funny thing is when you are trying to scroll over Nova Scotia, there is a line going through the entire screen you can't cross haha
I've been in Halifax many times but it's been a while... would be nice to have downtown on the nav to find my way around easier.

I have to admit I didn't consider driving in Halifax. Good point. Lots of goat girls there too BTW except they charge. As for NFLD...take the ferry. Driving is VERY risky on the Atlantic. Do people actually go there for real? I thought they just left. For some reason I think of Newfoundland as a big soggy fog covered rock. Then again I've never been. That's because NO ONE ever goes there...haha. I'm just messin' with ya.

Hahaha well I only go there since I am from there! :P
One of the nicest places to visit/drive that I have seen so far. Yes, it is depressing when you first get off the ferry though in Nfld... since for the first hour it's all bare rock and no trees (since so close to the ocean). Then it starts to get nice though and lots of great highways and scenery.

Hey after all... the Targa is there every year!

I have lots and lots of friends from there and they eventually all go back. That's saying something. It and PEI are the only provinces I've never been to BTW. Never got the opportunity. I've had Newfie Screech though!!! Nasty.

For those of you who don't know what it is, it's water swilled around empty aged rum barrels and sold as some kind of premium delicacy booze that only a fool would dare to drink. Yes, it's nasty and don't smoke while drinking it.
