I'm waaaaaaaay far south of Canada, but I may be spending quite a bit of time up there in the next few years with a new project I'll be working on. According to the map, Fort Mackay, Alberta looks to be the closest 'mappable' civilization.
Seeing as how I'm from Houston, TX...this is going to be QUITE a shock to the system! I won't be moving up there, but I'd guess 75% of my time will be spent there! You Canadians better hook me up w/ a Parka!!
From that location, will I be closer to the North Pole or Houston? Thanks, eh!

And your mosquito lotion in the summer month (1). Mosquitoes up there require a 10,000 foot runway to land. We won't even mention the black flies.Rambit

I was thinking the same thing but there is a Ft. McKay about 50 Kms north of Ft. Mac. I don't know why he is complaining about the weather as it is -5 Celsius for a high to-day and that is warmer than some southern states.

Yeah, it's -6 here as well. It was so funny reading how Houston & San Antonio got shut down and we had rain last week here. I remember doing a course at Brooks AFB in the 80's and they had snow for a day or so. It did cause a lot of damage though. Lots of car ports came down on cars from the weight.
