Question Sirius Radio

hey there, iwas looking to put the sirius radio kit in my car. I have an SRT8, with the nav, so all i need is the receiver and the antenna. My dealer said they wont allow it to be sold. Does anyone know where i can buy all the necessary hardware for the sirius radio to work?

Courtesy in Calgary told me yesterday $500 for parts, $500 for labour (all CDN$). Dealers will definitlely sell you the stuff (why the h#ll wouldn't they at these prices) . The installation kit is part #82208723AB ($242 CDN) and the module, antenna and wiring is part #82208881AA ($266 CDN). About 5 hours labour required (the antenna is a permanent install requiring cutting a hole in the roof).

Today I bought an entire kit at Costco for $68. It will take me 30 seconds to do a temporary install. Certainly not as slick as if it were integrated into my Nav/DVD unit, but too bad. I'll put the $1k I saved towards my new mountain bike.

Now I have to figure out how to get the US programming.

Call around to different dealers. Im sure you will find one that will be more then happy to sell you the kit. The hardest part is all the stuff you have to take apart to mount the antenna and run the wires.

I'm having the Mopar/Sirius satellite radio kit installed next week....the receiver, antenna and install kit was all ordered through my dealer's parts dept. here in BC....see my reply to a post named Canadian Sirius Radio in the SRT-8 forum...more details can be found there
