NAV nag

Looks like discussion on this died down.. wondering if there are any souls out there hacking away at the in-motion limitation? I found a reference to it worded thusly :

"
But I'm sure anyone with a SH-4 disassembler and a hexeditor can figure it out how to remove the nag screen. I'll give you all a hint, 0x0900 is nop[b]
"

Since I'm not a computer guy, I have no clue what that means but maybe this is the rosetta stone we are looking for?

this quote applies to the acura/honda NAV. it's also from alpine but unfortunately completely different software

REJ and REC are also different, and the offsets in the firmware files do not match. that's the reason why we cant compare US and Euro image bytewise. (euro nav does not have the in-motion limitation)

someone has to do dig through tons of code, or find a way to inject a signal to the CAN-Bus without disassembling the firmware.

every US car has it..

My 2007 Camry does, but...

One.. it is touch screen, so you touch "I agree" and you're done.

Two.. If you don't touch "I Agree" within a specific amount of time, if auto flips to the radio/CD player mode

Three.. When you press Destination or Map, it pops back up... and you press th "I agree" and it immediatly goes to the Destination entry if you pressed that or to the map if you pressed that..

it's a much smarter system...
