Fox New is gone! Can we switch to XM?

Ever since Fox News has been removed from Sirius, phone calls and emails have been answered with the paraphrased comment: "We are negotiating and hope to have Fox New back on-line soon". Tonight I was told they would not be back.

First, I need to confirm this. It wouldn't be the first time a customer service agent provided incorrect information.

Second, if it is true, I want to investigate making a change to XM.

My question: Will our radio support XM? (I called XM and the customer service agent didn't have a clue. He wanted to sell me new hardware. But, he didn't sound like he knew what day it was.) If I could make a change to XM, I will do it in a flash (I am at the end of my first year of service and this would be the perfect time for a change).

Siriur is pinning there entire future on the trash talker...I guess I am in the minority.

Perhaps, frank29, but certainly not alone.

I share your sentiments completely.

frank29,

Hello, This is Brian Carotenuto. I am an XM subscriber, I have some news that you will like. I have XM in my 300 currently, I am using the Delphi MyFi portable unit UNTIL the XM DIRECT is available for the car. I did some investigating and was told that the adapter for the LX series of cars will be out soon. Terk is apparently the manufacturer of the adapter. They have one currently for the OLDER 300's, and are working on one for our CANBUS run radios and electronics. Stay Tuned.....

I hope this information helps.

Sincerely yours,

Brian T. Carotenuto

Man, I couldn't agree more. I turned on Fox one day and it was gone. I am lucky I have a portable XM at work, so I can listen there. If anyone finds out we can convert I would do that also.

Fox is airing an XM commercial stating "Only on XM". I'm bummed but you can still get Hannitized on the ABC Talk station...iPod integration is coming and that will pretty much kill Sirius...

Well, if Fox is airing such a commercial, the "no more Fox News" (on Sirius) comment might be accurate. Assuming XM will be the sole satellite broadcaster of Fox News, I am definitely intersted in making a switch.

I still have an unanswered question: Will our radio support XM?

Um did this not answer the question? The simple answer is NO it will not. The complicated answer w/ a solution was:

frank29,
