I have an 06 with the REC NAV radio, Does it come stock with SIRIUS capabilities? Do i have to buy anything else or do I just have to call for service?

Come on I know someone in here has SIRIUS. I did see a picture of a 300 with SIRIUS and it had a small black antenna on the roof. Is this how I can tell if I have it or not?

No, yes, and no.

all 2005/2006 300s have radios that can receive Sirius satellite radio....either your car was equipped with it from the factory (check for the obvious antenna or your window sticker)....or you can purchase the kit from your dealer and have it installed by them like i did.....i love it !

Thanks west, I do not have the antenna, nor do I have the sticker. How much was it to add the kit to your car?

when i got my 1st "c" it didnt have it....i think i paid 200 or so for sirius...then the dealer charged me 200 or so for installing it.my total was around 500..its a REAL pain in the azz...took them 4hrs to do it...the headliner comes down the receiver sits in the trunk so the have to snake the patch cord all the way to the front..i wouldnt suggest you trying to install this your self not worth the headache...herbs

I don't know if you have had SIRIUS before, but I don't feel the sound quality is as good as a strong FM station. To me the sound is a little thin, but great for long trips when you can not get FM reception!!

and its also great not getting 20 min of commercials in a hour of music time..i NEVER listen to the radio anymore..get it...youll love it..

Thanks for the informative replies. I know I want it, but I am not sure if I want it $500 want it? I don't travel all that much and when I do, I have to take the Excursion in order to fit my wife and five kids. If I were to get it installed in the 300, could I get a portable one for the Exc and use the same account or doesn't it work that way.

I have it and all I do is play cd so load them up and be on your way. And I agree the sound is not that full.
