Question Is 1st year service with SIRIUS included?

Silly question I know - I just picked up my 2006 300C this morning and I'm about to call SIRIUS to active the radio. Before I do, is the 1st year of service included in the $195?

Thanks,
Graham

Thanks - I think I'm going to like the 300C, and SIRIUS will certainly help with thelimited choice of radio stations here in Northern Florida

Just activated mine today (bought a black 300C on the 15th). You won't be able to activate online unfortunately as there is no option for the the free year. Call the number in the owners manual and explain to them it is a new car and they will turn it on for you.

Graham, you might have a good opportunity. Sirius had (key, opperative word: I know it was in place month ago)a deal where you can apply the first year to a lifetime plan. The big sticker is you had to do it within 3 days of activating your radio.

The way it worked: Let's say the lifetime is $500, they will accept Chrysler's first year payment as a credit against the $500....so, you pay them $350. You break even when you've had your car 3 1/2 years.

Keep in mind when they say lifetime, they're not talking about you, they're talking about the life of the radio. If you change cars, they will let you transfer a maximum of 3 times(each time for a charge, I think $60 or so)

Retrofitted Chrysler options include remote start & navigation (REC indash unit)

22 Elite's console cover & arm rests

Mods lacking from pure sorriness: window tinting, tail tints & interior lighting upgrades

Unresolved dilemma: I don't have UConnect

Complete satisfaction: 18" O.E.M. wheels
Minor bug : paying M.R.S.P.

I love my Sirius radio and I am glad I got it with the car. It wasn't n my list of must haves when I bought the car but it has worked out. It sure is nice to have the same station all the way from LA to Vegas...

I probably will get the lifetime radio service after my year is up. It has stations for every taste and it never goes out unless the car is under cover.

It's worth it.

My .02

Cool - I'll try this when I call them tomorrow and post the results of the activation call.

Thanks for the info Frank29 :-)

While calling to activate they did not mention this option, but when I asked they were happy to do this. After 8 minutes on hold, and repeating my personal information about 3 times (not sure if it's my accent, or the person I was talking to) I have SIRIUS activated for the lifetime of the unit for $350. It will be interesting to find out what Howard is up to now in the mornings :-)
