Post few Q's ...

hi there,
i was going to bay a 300c from our local dealer in saudi arabia but it doesn't come with the nav unit.
so i'm buying a used 300C from the USA and i'll ship it to saudi arabia,
i don't know if the nav unit would work cause the dealer here doesn't provide the 300c with nav units.but i like the way it looks in the car so

1- is there a nav DVD for the middle east? where can i get it ?
2- can i watch tv, dvd, ps2 & use back camera on the nav screen? if so how much does it coast?
3- if i buy one with out the nav unit can i install one with a touch screen +tv + DVD +PS2 ? if so then will the puttons on the steering wheel work on it ?

and i have ton's of Q's but i'll save them for later & sorry for the poor language.

The one that comes with our cars do not have a touch screen. You can watch TV, but you need it to be modded. Contact these guys...

I have a 300 with the NAV unit and like it very much, but I'm not sure that I would buy used and incur shipping costs from the US to Saudi Arabia just to get the Chrysler NAV when you're not even sure that there'd be a map DVD available for the middle east. You can't use other mapping DVDs in the Chrysler NAV.

Why not buy the new 300 from the local dealer (and thus establish a relationship with the local dealer) and use the money you save on shipping to put in an aftermarket system that you know will have the maps you need?

Some of the people on this board have had great success installing aftermarket NAV units so that they look just as integrated as the original Chrysler NAV.

Hi m3n, and welcome to the forums, and I hope you will like it because of the very friendly environment and you will find allot of helpful info and people over here. Please feel free to ask as many Q's you want as long as you don’t find the info u are looking for using the search option on this site.

To introduce my self I am Ahmed from the UAE, and I own a 2006 300c.

As for your Q's, the Nav unit provided in the US vehicles doesn’t work in the Middle East, but I heard that it will be provided soon, don’t rush.

And about the car I suggest u by it from your local dealer; because this way you will save on shipping which is around 8000 Reyal and you will get a gulf specs car which is almost like the Europe version but is more adapted to our hot weather.

Finally, you can always order the Nav unit with the front bezel from the internet and have it moded to fit DVD, PSP, and back up camera. And there is always the after market option but this option will deactivate the buttons on the steering wheel.

thanx 4 the help guys..

but the price of a new 300C with a HEMI in saudi arabia is (164000sr = 43800 =$) i think its to much, i can get a SR-T in the US with this cash..

i know that u'll say buy a second hand from Saudi arabia , i'd do that but the cost of importing a used 300C fully loaded will be cheaper.

4 example:
in saudia a 2006 with all options exept nav \ 6300 miles = 37900 $
from the US 2006 with every single option \ 20000 miles = 29000 $ with shipping and tax.
even that if i don't use the nav i will convert it 2 tv\dvd and hope that the dealer put's this option in 2007 + i'll be saving 9000$ and i think it's worth it.

again thanks 4 the help. i could use some more opinions..
