Proposed temp setup in anticipation of ADD-an-AMP

Okay i ordered the LC8 on ebay but the bastard screwed me, so I wont be able to get it.

I was going to buy an LC8 locally but now that i think about it, PAC emailed me and told me that they had ti fix something in the circuitry until it will be released this month.

I need bass, I have all my audio equipment, and i was thinking about hooking up just the subs.

I propse to use the SUB channel (i ahve a 2006 with the BA system/and NAvi).

I understhand that it plays 50hz and below, so it should do fine. Any issues with this proposed setup? I am also going to tap fuse 18 for turn on lead. This should take two seconds to install but before i begin i just want some thoughts.

Yes. Fuse 18 works great for switched power. As a temporary solution, just tapping the rear sub will work fine. In fact, many on this forum have done this and have been quite happy. I experimented with this before using the LC6, line driver, etc. The only reason I was frustrated by it was that I had the same system in a different car so I could tell that it wasn't playing at its full potential. It sure beats the hell out of the stock system though and is probably one of the easiest stereo mods to do.

ps. When we say that the sub in Soundgroup II plays at 50hz and below, keep in mind that's a slope not a cliff. So there's some signal above 50hz just drastically reduced.

So who did you buy off of eBay from? Just curious?
