VES headphone battery

Hi,
I am having trouble getting the battery doors open on the headphones.
I don't want to break something before I even get to turn it on. Instructions say push open button and slide cover up. Seems simple enough, but I must be missing something. Did anyone else have trouble with this?
Thanks

I haven't tried this yet... haven't used them much. They have an auto-off to conserve battery power. Why do you think you need to change them so soon? Just curious.

I just assumed I needed to install the batteries like I did for the remote. They included enough batteries for both headphones and remote. No light comes on the headset when I push the on/off buttton. I think the book said if no light comes on, replace the batteries.

Your dealership should have installed them when they did the PDI, obviously they did not. The doors can be tight, try a very small screwdriver to gently push in on the button and pry lightly up, that usually does the trick.

Our dealership had everything ready for us at pick-up. In fact, they demonstrated the VES and the headphones... so I didn't know you might have had to do that. I'll go get one and set how difficult it seems to me.

Ok... on the bottom edge of each ear piece there is a little button in what looks like an inverted "V" depression. This must be depressed slightly in order free the pressure tab underneath and allow the battery cover to come free. I had to use my thumbnail to focus the pressure enough to free the cover. I can see how it would be difficult without a firm point from which to apply the pressure. This is not like your typical remote control for TV or VCR. It is more difficult.

I got them in. I had to use a small screwdriver. My fingernails just didn't cut it.
Thanks for the help!
