Cool

Hi Everyone
Hope all is well
Since this unit apears to have a 12V out, which I hope is a 12V triggered out when the unit is switch on. You will no longer have to use the toggle switch on my unit. You should now be able to make the audio and my video switch at the same time. Please, when someone gets there unit can they please check and make sure this is a 12 Trigger wire out .
Thanks Dominic

I am still learning about my new 300C HE. I assume this device is to let you hook external devices like MP3 players to your car audio system. I have the video system that has jacks for audio and video already on it, will this PAC device do anything different or better than those audio jacks? I have not tried to use them yet.
Thanks, Bill -

The AAI-CHY provides two auxiliary inputs into the OEM CAN-Bus radios. It can accept any line level source. The dock line output from an iPod is best, but the headphone output of any personal music player is ok too if it is set at it's maximum level. You'll need a stereo 1/8" mini-plug to RCA outputs in order to use the AAI-CHY.

It emulates both the satellite radio (SAT) module or the vehicle DVD entertainment system (VES).
By changing a jumper you can make it emulate one or the other. It will only work if you don't have either the VES or the SAT. If you have one, you can make it emulate the other.
If you have both the VES and SAT you'll have to give one up if you want to use the AAI-CHY.

It has two auxiliary inputs and you can use both if the AAI-CHY emulates the VES. Then you can pick which input you want by switching from "chapter 1" to "chapter 2" on the factory radio.

Overall the unit works fairly well. I've had mine installed for a month now with no issues.
