When my 300 arrives (god knows when) I'll be shopping for a new provider and a BT phone. I've also got a Nokia 3650 and may use this if ATT service gets better when they merge with Cingular.
I have Sprint with a Sony/Ericcson Blue tooth enabled phone..the ony way you can get it is directly from Sprint.

Uconnect check messages

I have the uconnect system. With verison you dial *86 to retrieve messages, no problem so far, I have mine linked to the call command, Voice mail, which it then dials *86, the voice mail system then asks me to enter my pass code, I now have to grab my phone and manually enter it. Isn't there some way to do this through voice command handsfree?

Did you try to speak the sequence? UConnect permits a 3 party hookup, so it might recognize a voice command to access a msg box. To do it, hit the UConnect button again, it will ask what you wish to do. That may permit access of your msg box by voice.

Could you convince your cell provider to remove the need for a separate access code for your msg box?

Otherwise, I'm not aware of any other way to do what you want. Best bet is to read the UConnect portion of your owner's manual, including yellow sheet updates very thoroughly. Also, send UConnect an e-mail explaining your predicament asking if they have any advice. They are at http://www.chrysler.com/uconnect

How about this

Edit your phone book entry with some pause characters accounting for the delay of dialing and the login prompt. then enter your password and you should be in with out touching your phone... it would look something like this

*86pppp"passcode"

I haven't tried this on my 300C, but have done this in the past on various phones...

Good Luck

I'm waiting for the Motorola 710... due out soon. In addition to bluetooth, it has a 1.2 megapixel CCD and an LED flash. If you are one of the first to register the phone with Motorola, they'll give you a a free bluetooth earphone/mic thingy or a blue tooth speakerphone.

Check whether or not you pulled the mirror downward to permit the mike (located on top of the mirror, in the OEM model) access to your voice. If not, just pull down on the mirror to give yourself about a 1/2 to 1 inch space between the headliner/sunglass holder and the mike. Don't worry, the mounting link is made for this movement. This will clean up the sound.

You also might have the sound level turned up too high. To fix that, go into the EVIC, Personal Settings, Telephone and adjust. Mine sounded that way and noticed that my sound level somehow was set to 7. Brought it down to 5 and it is much better.

Lowering the mirror will also benefit you in that it makes the UC button on the mirror more easily reached and your rear view is much better due to the slightly lower position of the mirror.

Just got my after market u-connect from a dealer out of South Carolina as it is not available in Canada, I phoned my friendly 5* to have it installed and was told that they would not install a Mopar after market as it might void my warranty, and then they gave me a number of a shop who would do it. I will have it installed next Saturday unless I can find some kid who is good at installing these things.

Maybe I can go back to my police days and find some of my old offenders who were into stealing car stuff. Hmmm!!! Na, I will do it right.

I just can't believe that a dealer would not install a Mopar product, now if I had bought it from them.............

FYI - Sprint has multiple Bluetooth phones coming out in the 3rd quarter. One of them is a new Pocket PC with a slider keyboard, a Treo and an LG model. Others might also have BT.
