Radio Changes Modes After Unlock

I set the alarm when I leave the car. The radio had been on a Sirius channel.

When I return and open the doors from the fob, the radio is now on an FM channel.

I have tried re-learning both driver's memory positions to keep it on Sirius, but every third or fourth time, it jumps over to FM.

When you say "alarm", do you mean aftermarket, or are you talking about locking your keyless entry?

I speak of the OEM fob operated alarm. I am trying to figure out if it only happens when I pop the trunk before unlocking the doors with the fob, but it's the oddest thing.

Are the drivers settings (1 & 2) supposed to return the radio to a specific channel or is it supposed to remember which presets your 1 and 2 have designated?

If I leave the Sirius on when I shut off the car, the radio switches to FM on the next start up. If I manually turn off the radio before shutting the engine, the band and channel stays put. I'm due for my 7500 mile oil change, so I will explain it to my service rep at Arrigo in WPB FL.

Fairly common problem. Have it in both mu 05 "C", and 05 WK. Bought the "C" first in May, 04. Had it to the dealers on several occasions. Never was able to correct. Folloeing year, bought the WK. Same issue

I read somewhere that it has to do with when the car is started and the unit was left on prior, there is some sort of electronic testing scenario that occurs. Somehow, the process goes too fast and cannot recognize the Sirius function, therefore, it just bypasses it and goes to am/fm.

I learned to live with it by mostly turning the radio off prior to the ignition.
