Aftermarket Stereo... Say it isn't so....

So as most of you are aware that Pioneer deck blasted all over this forum site is waaay to sweet to not look into for us newbies considering stepping into the 300 in the next few months. Especially considering the fact its about $2200 or so when you include UConnect and iPod integration with the factory navigation model.

That being said I went and got estimates on installation recently and the installer was curious if an aftermarket deck would play with the stock speakers and work with the stock amp. Something about 8 ohm's and 4 ohms and blah blah blah...

Bottom line... Is it possible to simply swap out the factory deck for an aftermarket deck without having to replace the stock speakers and amplifier?

C-Pipes,

The answer to your question is YES!! So far I've only replaced the Headunit on my 2006 300C AWD with the Pioneer Premier DEH-P980BT. I still have my factory speakers and amp. I planning on upgrading both this summer. However, if you want to continue to have your steering wheels controls you're going to have to buy the interface made by Peripheral made exclusively for Chrysler vehicles. I hope this helps

Well that's 'music' to my ears... Ok.. that's really corny, but thanks for letting me know. I'm hoping to do things similiar to you and get the head unit going first and upgrade the speakers and amp over time.
