Car Error Codes due to aftermarket radio

I got a 2006 300c with a alpine w200 installed.. i beleive its installed with a amp bypass cable (dont know the technical term) and uses the alpines built in amp.. I just recently had a mopar remote start installed and removed cause as i was told by the dealer the car starter would never operate correctly cause of the radio ( i had numerous problems of the car refusing to start and no gauges working etc with it in.). They also said they pulled 20+ error codes cause the stock radio was not in the car yet my car seems to operate normally.. What can I do to remedy this besides putting back in the stock radio?

The only way that an aftermarket radio would throw codes is if the person that installed it cut the wrong wires!!! Did you install it or did you have someone else install it??? If you installed it and got the wiring kit where it just snaps together if your close to Va, I can pull codes for you to see exactly what they are.

My stock radio throws 20+ error codes every other day. None of them appear to effect the operation of the car. Most are communication bus related from all areas of the car. It took my stealership four attempts (and two brakelight switch replacements -dah!) to figure it out (with Chrysler technical help). A replacement radio was supposed to take a week to come in. It has now been three weeks.
I'd say your after-market Alpine is failing to communicate with the rest of the car for whatever reason the car expects a radio to communicate with it!
