Question Front speaker Install

I'm new to this site, so here's a Q: I was going to change the front panel speakers today, To my surprise there was NONE, only the hole cover by a cover, there was no wires to hook up the new speakes. I called a stereo shop and they told me the wires were there but they were hidden,,, I COULDN"T find them. Anyone has any Idea or advised on this. Thanks

probally dash you have to tap the front speakers from behind deck and run your own wires very easy,,,, and you will need hardware to screw them in also!!!!

When you say tap... do you mean to "tap into" the wires by cutting into them... or is there a simple plug to add the windshield speakers...?

i beileve what happened is that your car doesnt have the boston acoustics sound package. im guessing in the rear rack, you have two six by nines and just a hole where a third speaker could be. if you have an aftermarket radio, you can splice into them there, but if not just trace the wires to other speakers and splice there. (should be green, purple, gray, and white if im not mistaken.)

Yeah... i just picked up the 07 touring yesterday... and it came with the crappy 4 speaker system. I would like to add 2 more ... but would like to do it in the least-invasive way that I can. i'm not a system freak... i just like that full surround sound in the car.... and with the 4 speakers... it just does'nt do it for me.

I'm gonna grab either the REC or RAQ/RAK soon .... and would like to add the speakers at the same time....

Any other thoughts?

Thanks a lot by the way!

How do the front speaker covers come off? On the dash, do the the covers just pull up? How are they attached to the dash?
