Installed 2 screens - 1 doesn't work. Help me trouble shoot

I just installed two 7 inch screens in the headrests and had them professionally wired up to my dvd player located in the center console. One screen comes on and everything works - the second does not show a picture but the sound works - except when you plug in the headphones?

The guys who installed it, went over it for some time and suggested it was a defective screen - I just want to make sure before i leave on a 4 hour drive today and my kids can't watch their movies.

Also, there is an audible buzzing from the non-functioning screen when just the power is turned on but no movie is playing?

Finally, you can hear a high pitched buzz over the sound that is coming out - is this due to the quality of the screen or the wiring? Thanks very much!

What kind of screens/dvd player do you have?
Are they multi av source?
Did they just use splitters or a distribution?
Did they wire with a thru-put from one screen to another?
How do you (plug) headphones in?

I purchased the screens from MP3PlayerStore.com MP3 Player, Car DVD Players & TFT/LCD Monitor and I believe they are inovatek or something like that. I think they used some Y adapters to wire up both screens to the dvd player in the center console. I'm thinking it's just the screens as the one that was working stopped about 2 hours into the trip. It started getting a wavy line through the screen and none of the controls on the screen would work other than power. I'm sending them back for an exchange and will see if the new ones present the same problems. Thanks

it sounds like it isnt grounded right.. my ground wire came loose on mine once and it did the same thing. dont know if thats what the problem is here, but thats how i fixed mine.. just found the ground wire and tightened it. or it could be bad RCAs, but i doubt it since thier new.

I ordered them on friday morning - about 4 am and received them on Wed, even though I paid for overnight shipping and their website states orders placed before 10 am eastern will be shipped same day. Kinda mad about that.

Another thing is that they requested the screens to be picked up at the DHL facility, not delivered to my house, so I had to drive all over town trying to find which DHL facility they were at.

I followed the return procedure on their website on friday, have to send an email to their returns department and wait for a return authorization number. Still waiting.....

Also, it says you have to return everything in its original packaging, but the screen frames are in my headrests and the wires are all wired up, so I hope they don't expect me to return that stuff?

You gotta be careful. Cheaper screens aren't very resilient in automotive environments.
Just like anything, the cheaper probably is.
