A few pics of my new system in my 300 srt

I just got me 2006 300 srt8 back from the stereo shop yesterday and would like to share a few pics I took this morning. The system consists of a valor NVG-670wt head unit (that is awesome by the way) The front door and rear deck speakers are polk momo mm6 components, the dash speakers were replaced with infinity kappa 32.7cf 3.5 inch speakers. The subs built in behind the rear seats are infinity 12.1 perfects dual voices coils. In the trunck are a pair of kicker rmb8 8 inch subwoofers. The amps are 2 infinity 7541 4 channel amplifiers, each bridged to one pair of the polk momo mm6 components. The sub amp is a infinity reference 1211a mono channel amp that is running the 12.1 perfect subs. The dash speakers are ren by a sony 200x4 amp. The kicker 8 inch subs are ran by a pioneer gm-6200f 4 channel amplifier running off only 2 channels leaving 2 channels open for future rear door speakers. I have a pyle 50 farad capacitor and 2 1000cca batteries to power it all. The battery and power/negative wiring has been upgraded to 1/0. The car has a total of 7 monitors (for now, more to come). These include 2 9 inch monitors in the front seat headrests, the built in rear video entertainment system which I believe is a 5 inch, there is a 7 inch rearview monitor installed that is hooked to th headunit and a rearview camera, there are 2 7 incch monitors in the sun visors (one on each side) and the valor headunit has a 7 inch touch screen built in. I have 2 more 7 inch monitors on order for the trunk and will also be putting a 24-32 inch lcd in the truck also. There will be a ps2 installed in the truck when the trunk monitors are installed. There is a python remote start/alarm installed as well as a built in radar detector. I will try to also add pictures of the outside of the car when it warms up enough to wash it (its -16 here right now).

I actually had another system installed with the stock deck but it kinda sucked in my opinion. It was the nav unit but it didnt even come close to thisone. The sound adjustability was not available with the stock unit and the sound was not as good. The navigation on this unit is even better then the stock. Good luck on your install and hope you at least consider a aftermarket head unit. And thanks for the kind words on my install, and yes it sounds awesome.

Great info on the head unit..thanks..as you may have just saved me some time . I will check out your head unit. Did you adapt the steering wheel controls to work with your new head unit or is it too much of a pain in the azz . Come to think of it the stock Nav does leave alot to be desired . I was wondering if even with external amplification the Nav unit would get the job done...this will prove extremely helpful . Ballpark cost ? Thanks again , Mike .

Thestering wheel controls are not working right now but that i being taen care of in 2 weeks when they install the other 3 monitors in the trunk. There is a module by peripheial(spelling?) that allows full use of the steering wheel controls. It cost 50.00 but my shop didnt have one on hand so they ordered me one. I got the head unit from barneys electronics on ebay new in the box for 850 plus 35 shipping. The regular cost is like 1500 for it. It seems to do eveything the pioneer z1 does and a little more but it doesnt have a hard drive(wish it did). You can check the head unit out at valormultimedia.com. I would put my total cost at about 5200.00 give or take a couple hundred for misc. parts. That includes the labor at the shop. i installed all the amps and the power wire upgrades myself which saved me alot of cash.
