hooked up subs in my car. problems

i have a 300c with the boston 8 speaker package. i tapped my loc into the sub in the back dash i hooked everything up and it plays but it doesnt seems like it is getting enough bass. i dont know if i should try tapping off the front door speaker. or if it is just because it used to be ran off a radio with 5v pre outs.. anyone have this problem??

ive read some other topics on this but i dont recall them having the 8 speaker package.

try tapping the rear speakers........I know people will say the front doors are better.........but it is easier to access the rear deck ones and they seem to be the closest to a "full range".......the rear sub only plays low HZ and down......you are definietly losing some range with this set-up..........try this and see if it helps............before you tap in all the way to the front ones!!!

Besides, if you are like me.......it will hold you over until you eventually do a full system work up anyways...........

In order to get your subs sounding like you want most likely it won't matter if you tap into the front, doors, or rear speakers. It will still sound awful for bass.

Only way to redeem the bass sound you like is an aftermarket stereo. Or try stock stereo with some sort of equalizer may help.

I have the same problem but want to keep my navigation so I have to deal with the bass not hitting as hard as I would like.

........or you can go with an auto summation unit like the JL Cleansweep or Audiocontrol LC8 (which I have).......that will give you a "full signal" then use your sub amp to control what HZ you want to cut-off for the subs......

granted it wont be the "best" quality as you get from a aftermarket deck with RCA's, but if you want to keep the stock deck (I have a nav as well) this is the best route.....for now!!!!.......the add an amp harness has been in the "works" for about 2 years and keeps getting delayed!!!! Im not holding my breath!!!!
