Stock Speaker Pops

Just bought the car today!

The back right speaker pops when turning the volume up. This may of been addressed before but I haven't had much luck looking for an answer.

What needs to be done? Do I take it back to the dealer and have them replace it?

Well I'm here at the dealership and they are telling me they have no idea why its popping. They don't just want to start ordering parts without knowing if its the speakers or the amp or what. Anyone know the cause for the rear speaker pop problem? Only happens on certain songs and random volumes. Any help is appreciated. This is a brand new 2007 chrysler 300 limited. Thanks in advance!

it has to be your speaker..its probably defective if it pops on certain songs and volumes..the material might have torn away from the cone a little bit.

that too....

its been to the dealership 3 seperate times already in the past 5 days and they have been unable to fix it. They checked the wiring and replaced both rear speakers, however they still pop.

Anyone have any idea why this could be?

Do they need to just replace the entire head unit maybe?

What ever it is.. they should not give you your car back until it is fixed! This is a warranty issue that the dealer has to resolve. If they have to replace the whole system, thats there resposibility.. you should not have to worry about this! The thing that pisses me off with some dealers is, they almost don't want to deal with warranty issues. I don't understand why. Chrylser/Dodge get paid (both the dealer and the technicians)on all warranty work. Anyways, if they don't fix this problem, take it elsewhere, or write/email chrylser and complain about the dealer.. it usually always works...eventually!

thats a warranty issue dont let them try to fool you about it. tell them you want it replaced and if not go to your salesrep and he can do something about it.. if not suggest to take it to a different dealer..
