Have you thought of ?!?!?!?!?!?

Well last week my car was broken into (in my driveway) and of course my subs and amp were taken along with my favorite pair of sunglasses but I have been thinking that there is only 1 true way to get into the trunk and that is by the trunk button on the dash (or the key).

Has anyone thought of disabling the trunk button on the dash?
And if you disable the button would you still be allowed to access the trunk through the key fob?

Depending on the answers to the above question I might do this or rewire another switch to an undisclosed location before I drop another stereo in my car.

TIA

I guess there is a wiring harness behind the switch, try to disconnect it and then test the key fob button if it still works.

Adapt, improvise, and overcome.

We need to get together again soon, grab some steaks or something. I'm trying to get a few mods finished up this weekend if I can. Hell I may need to borrow that garage of yours for a day to install my HIDs and wire my halos the right way... only if you promise it won't collapse on my car

Once you're inside the car, can't you just pull the rear seat down, enter the trunk and pull the emergency release inside the trunck?

YES you can GaryCampbell but I have 2 car seats strapped down and I think that they (the crooks) will think it will be too much work to then have to unstrap 2 car seats to then get into the trunk and hit the release. Of course if they want it they'll get it but I'm just trying to do as much as I can to prevent it from happening again.
