It's not hard to look under the hard cover....it is removable and
some on here have done that because it was the source of
buzz and rattle....I removed it altogether....

but a much easier check would be to take a credit card and
remove the grille in the center and see if there is a speaker
there.....If you see a speaker there it's likely you have the
368 watt system....

Also, does anyone know how to find out what packages your car came with by the VIN number?

Not really you have the two sure fire methods now.

Again not easy, if you can find the supplying dealer a call to them direct might, I say, might get that info. for you.

The 300c Heritage has a variation of this. There is no speaker in the middle of the dash....it has 7 speakers....2 in the dash, 2 in the front doors and 2 in the rear deck with a woofer in the center. The full blown stereo's have 8 speakers with one also in the center of the dash......368 watts of power....

i know for sure that i have the 8 speaker setup with the subwoofer but it does not feel like 368 watts of power when crancked. It sounds very good, everyone that has heard it has said they have never heard a stock system like that. But for some reason when crancked it doesnt feel like 368 watts of power. Maybe its just me but any one else feels like that? I usually leave the bass and the other equalizers at 3 because bringing them at 9 and leaving bass there seems like it would mess it up in the long run. I dj so alot of bass can ruin the speakers, If just doesnt sound like 368. a 368 you should be able to hear it down the street as the car is approaching..anyways hope im making sense

Sounds to me like the sub is up front. When I fader to rear only, there is little bass to speak of.

Then it sounds like the car doesn't have a sub then, as it is in the rear
