PAC adaptor for "premium" factory systems

This may be old news, if so I apologize, but I just recieved an email from PAC Audio saying they will have an adaptor out in 4 to 6 weeks called the C2A-CHY. This will allow adding an aftermarket amp to the factory systems that have the factory amps. It looks like it will go between the head unit and factory amp, giving a clean signal without the factory equalization. This is great news for those of us using line level converters and loosing all the base at the higher volume levels.

Really? That sucks. Did they give you an indication when it should be out? What did you think of the adapter? Did they show you how it worked?

it's only 2 channels, (left and right) so you need a EQ or some kinda of Input device (Fosgate 3sixty or similar) to convert the 2 channels to 4/5/6 etc (left, right, front, rear, sub, etc)

the problem they had and why it's taken so long (from what little they told me) is that they get data noise on the lines so the signal is not clear.

I know the guys at PAC pretty well and I know they won't release a device until it is damn near perfect in their eyes, which is why it is taking so long.

IMO it is a quick and dirty solution, I got tired of waiting and went with the Fosgate 3sixty.1 and have had zero issues with the speaker out to RCA conversion. Of course it did take some fine tuning to get it right, and this device eliminates that step.

6 of 1 half a dozen of another, because by the time it comes out the MyGIG unit will be in our cars and they will have to start from square one again..
