Cool. I wonder if it'll allow iPods with recent firmware to work, as well (i.e. firmware 1.0.3)?

Very interesting! I would not have thought it was a problem with the head unit. I figured it was the MOPAR adapter. Great find!

The Chrysler rep said their techs discovered the original problem in units made with the uconnect feature, which is manufactured by HB. Then they realized the issue was with any unit with an iPod adapter made by HB. For future reference, Chrysler refers to any bad iPod adapter satellite radio as a "mygig issue." She went on to say that the fix has been working for all iPod versions. I asked if this would be handled as a recall (we are notified) or if this was going to be a service bulletin (no one tells you until you bring your car in for service). She said it would be a service bulletin and for us to check with the dealer from time-to-time.

Hopefully someone else can answer that for you. My adapter was factory installed, and it works fine. My problem is the software in the SAT radio (made by Harman Becker) that is messed up. I lose my SAT presets when I exit SAT, and then the radio always wants to see an iPod when I go back into SAT mode (pressing SAT a couple times gets past this). Chrysler told me that these problems are all software driven, which is what they believe has been fixed with this soon-to-be-released software upgrade.

Can anyone shed any light on the "Ipod + Uconnect with bluetooth" spoken of the the 2008 300C brochure?

They way it is written it makes me think that a newer Ipod with Bluetooth (like an itouch) would somehow connect via bluetooth to the headunit. Am I dreaming?

I too have been bit by the Chrysler Integration with iPod AND iPhone issue. I was able to load the older firmware in an iPod Classic as others here have done, but yesterday's update to the iPhone causes similar problems.

According to Apple, who are clueless of this issue said it is not possible to reinstall an older version of firmware in the iPhone as the iPod and there is nothing they can do. They also feel this isn't their problem, but Chrysler's. SO if you have an iPhone DON'T upgrade to v1.1.3!

If anyone has any insight on reinstalling v1.1.2 in the iPhone, please enlighten me.
