OUCH!! that sounds like s....

man i been workin on this box and amp mount in my trunk for days now and i finally got it finished. i couldnt just stand by idlely and let my 2 12" kicker L7s and 4000 watt hifonics anp go to waste so i went and bought a LOC to hook them up to my stock stereo(which acording to some threads i should have done before the factory amp, and now kinda regret cause my rear speakers sound like balls) the subs hit and got damn hard but i came up wit a problem:
i checked out other threads talking about noise from the trunk lid and mine seems like something more than a little rattle like they said. it rattles bad shaking the lid and bumper- like a mofo even, its pretty violent it actually blew the trunk lid open 3 times.( which may be because i had those little rubber screws on the lid halfway out keepin it from closing all the way) im just wandering if anyone can sugest anything-ive heard of dynamat but im not sure if it will help. any help is appreciated.

by the way the forums here rock i just got my 300 like a month ago and found this site a couple days ago. this is my first post but i can assure you im gonna have to postpone buying a house having kids and that 10,000 dollar wedding for a couple years...

Re-do your LOC to the front door or before the amp. That's what I am going to do. I still have mine tapped in at the 6X9's and it's really not a good sound.

I had to dynamat the entire inside of my trunk lid. I took the carpet cover of and went dynamat crazy. I also put dynamat on the back of my license plate.

Take the plastic screws and screw them out almost all the way.. My rattling is at a minimum..

Good luck!

nice yea i think ima go with tha fatmat trunk kit and see how far that gets me. as far as relocating the loc ill probably just pass and deal wit it for now the only reason i put it in there was to hold me over for the month or 2 till i buy my pioneer avic(d2 or 3). i got the screws almost half way out and the trunk already pops open on some songs hopefully the fattymat stops that...
