amother fatmat question...

actually its edead, but i finally got mine in today and am gettin ready to tear apart my trunk i have read about every thread on here about it but still have a couple questions: first should i use that expanding foam **** on the lid or is 2-3 layres of edead v1(2) suffecient. also does the carpet cover the whole lid or is there mat exposed(i have the touring so i dont have my carpet yet) and finally should i try real hard to get around the battery or is it not that important. thanks all and wish me luck. the maimin One

I also got edead off of ebay. I read that the foam will put a dent in the trunk so I would just layer the edead 2-3 layers.

you'll be fine without the expanding foam. you could use the
minimal expanding foam to avoid denting your trunk. I did
this back when I had a grand prix and worked out good. So
if you still want to use expanding foam, only use the minimal
type.

But I only have sound deadener. The carpet doesn't cover
the whole thing and I only put it under the cover.

I'll post a pic later.

Here's the pics. There are 2 layers of dynamat extreme and
3 more layers of edead under the carpet. around the edges
I put weatherstrip material. There was one small buzz left after
the sound deadening that didn't quite go away until I put
the weather stripping on.

my weather stripping job wasn't as neat as the rest of the
stuff, but it did the trick.
