navi, you will have 50 people within the first week if you just make the rounds to the boards... don't worry about having people sign up or any of that... as a great mind once said...

build it, and they will come (in masses)

Any update on an AUX for a 300 w/o sirius? I imagine its impossible, but I thought I would ask.

I think 06 will have aux input. It might be easier to swap radios.

Something for iPod users to consider

Just ran across this, which might interest people:

http://www.ipodlounge.com/reviews_mo...d=3449_0_6_0_M

It is a car charger with a dock connector w/ a built in line-out.

kmoney, I'm wondering if this could easily be wired 1)power from the cig. lighter wire (or somewhere else that would cut power when the ignition is off) rather than actually having to use that bulky adapter and 2) have the line-out wires spliced to a switch which would then cut into the sat module like your original design.

I'm thinking that the dock connector could easily be run into the center console and the switch could be mounted on a little custom cover for the area next to the gear selector.

I know this is pretty similar to the original solution, and would only work w/ iPods, but it seems so much cleaner than using a bunch of male/female ends...

Hell, I wonder if a good custom shop could fabricate a mount, a la Apple's dock, in that area with the switch next to it. I know there's already a hole for the wires and it seems like it would be a simple fabrication job...

Even w/ an aux input in the '06 radio, you'd need a good place to put the iPod , and a way to charge it....

I have an '04 Durango with the REC radio (6-disc in-dash changer) and am also interested in a solution that cleanly integrates the iPod though the AUX (aka Sirius option input on the back), and which would allow control of the iPod via the radio. Still waiting patiently… and am glad to see that Dodge/Chrysler has homologized on one set of radios fo all new models… fingers crossed for an integrated adapter solution…

Can the methods in this thread be used for the naviplus hack for the navi so you don't have to use a FM mod?

Ran across this article in CNET the other day. Instructions on how to connect an ipod to the car audio system (apparently any system.)

http://reviews.cnet.com/4520-10163_7-6212328.html

They claim it takes about 2 hours and requires about $60 in hardware. Not a project I'd undertake, but the more electronically inclined might be willing to try. Ah, if only Chrysler had included an aux input jack...sigh.

Did you read it? I skimmed through it and there's nothing in there that hasn't already been discussed here: direct line input - not on a Chrysler stock radio, or an iPod adapter module - not from Denon or anyone else for stock radios and Pioneer and Clarion are the only that I've heard good reviews about for their aftermarket radio interfaces. The article is more about how to plug stuff in.
