iPod on FM?

There are little gadgets costing about $40 that transmit music from an iPod to the car radio on the FM band. One type plugs into the electrical outlet and recharges the iPod while it plays. I'm wondering whether that would work on the 300 given the location of the outlets (i.e. one in the ashtray compartment, the other in the box between the seats.) Has anyone used on of these?

I have one made by Monster w/ several FM settings. it works well as long as the frequency is clear.

It works in both the ashtray and center consol.

Hello Jimv,

My name is Brian Carotenuto, and I have an original first generation Ipod (10GB). I recently received a device called an "ITrip" that allows me to use my Ipod in my new 300. This device uses the FM frequencies to transmit the music from the Ipod through the radio wirelessly in my 300. I have a base 300 sedan with the 6 disc changer radio. So far, I have not had any problems since I started using it. The only thing I need to do is keep the Ipod charged up. I hope this helps.

Sincerely yours,

Brian T. Carotenuto
