Need Help - What's The Best External Nav Unit For My Other Vehicles?

I'm looking for a good nav unit for my other vehicles and there are so many I don't really know how to choose one. Need your input on what you might have, how you like it...or what is out there that you know about. Please include a good place to purchase if you could.

Thanks in advance.

Moose.

I have the garmin 2720. https://buy.garmin.com/shop/shop.do?cID=164&pID=6387 This is an excellent GPS and I have used it in every single state in the USA except hawaii. Sometimes it gets it wrong but not often, better in many ways than the standard chrysler offering. It relies on the map data within itself but this can be updated. It allows you to plan in several routes at once, sort of A to B to C.

I use this in my truck and other vehicles I have that does not have a built in GPS system.

There is a later model as always with technology, but if you do not need those bells and whistles, then...

Cheers

We are using the Magellan Roadmate700 since early 2005. When we rented a 300 that year, it performed much better than the OEM Nav in the rental. It now has voice reminders with street/highway names, lots of points of interest, etc. Runs off a cord from the cigar lighter vs. battery, but well worth it (cost us just under $1k back then). That was half the price of the OEM Nav then... and it's portable.

Garmin Nuvi 360

Unbelievable unit.,

$500 most places. $420 at Walmart. Great touch screen... small enough to stick in your pocket. It tells you the name of the road to take, not just "take next left".... it's "take next left on to elm Street." You can also put a mini card and it acts as a travel guide. 3 of my friends also bought this and love it.
