Question ? for Wes and other box builders

How much lighter would a 2.5 cu. ft. box made of baltic birch be compared to an mdf box? I know the birch is alot more expensive but I'm wondering if the price is worth the weight I would save.

It would be about 18 lbs lighter...not enough for me.
