OEM Navigation to play DVD's Basics Needed

I am not really into the stereo/video scene, and would like basic instructions to start for getting a dvd to play on the factory installed navigation system. I read about some hacks, but really want a basic idea of exactly what needs to be done.

For example, will I need an external DVD player or will it play in the stock unit? Also how will the navigation system/screen need to be altered to playback these dvds? Do I need to send it away to one of these companies to have them put thier hack in it?

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks!

Hi, we are the company that manufacture the universal interface that allows your screen to play dvd's. Our company will hardwire our unit into your navigation and then you can use the rca input to connect any video source. You then using an fm module would add the sound.

Hey guys,

I posted some questions many weeks ago about your product on the Audio thread you sponsor. Do you ever check this thread out and answer those questions?
