Question box ? with separate amps

Equipment used will be 2 JL10w6v2 and 2 Zapco 500/1.
A shop recommended going with a ported common chamber box. Is it advisable to do this with separate amps? They said that they could use rta to match amps. I also heard that tuning separate amps would be easier than tuning separate ports.

We do this all the time. All you need to do is match the output voltage at the same frequency and volume using a volt meter. You do this using AC voltage and by using a bass test disc.

If money is no object then go for one amp per speaker. If not go for a 2 channel mono block amp for just the subs and a high powered 4 channel for the components. Just my .02cents CDN.

i have one amp per sub but i've heard that separate amps in a common chamber sounds worse than one amp.
