Subs In, Trunk Rattle.... Suggestions??

Hey everyone!
So I just had my sub installed in the trunk. I didn't go with anything crazy, just one 12 Sony Explode with a 1200 watt amp (cant remember the brand). Anyways, I have a brutal trunk rattle now, even when its not turned up high at all. Its the trunk lid, not anything else. The sound is very nice with the trunk lid wide open, but when you lower it down, it starts to rattle.
Any suggestions on how to fix this? I am going to try turning the box around and having the sub face the back seat, but thats the only idea I have...

it wont sound good in the cabin unless you build a wall...you cant just turn the box around...on the rattling i would suggest some kind of sound deadening material...also do a search on trunk rattling youll get lots of hits..

Hi, facing the back seat will help the rattle, but you won't get all of
your sound unless you seal the front of the box from the rest of
the trunk.

did you use any sound deadener?

I didn't use any sound deadening materials at all. Would putting it on the inside of the trunk stop the rattles though?

thanks! that was an awsome post to read though. I took off the plastic peice around the trunk latch and its significantly lessened the rattle, I am goign to attatch it again with double sided foam tape and the plastic oins that are in there now and see if that holds it better
I dont want to dynamat so much at all, and my trunk dosent have the drunk liner either, do all models come with it?
