Double din in stock deck location?

I found a few pictures on cardomain showing a double din install in a Magnum with the Eclipse double din installed in the stock non nav location. Will this install work for the 300C? And does this install need any mod's? Thanks.

You need a bezel from a nav 300. Then it's just a little bit of custom trim work. This one needed a bit more modification.

Just for note though, that bezel he used is not from a nav system. If you look you can see the half moons from the volume and tune knob filled in... It seems he kept the bezel he had and then had that cut and filled to custom fit the Eclipse system in place.... Gotta say, looks great!

It can been done, but you will have to trim the bezel. I think you are better off just picking up a nav bezel and take it from there. Those half moons look kinda tacky.

So other than the hardware modification side of things, what is involved as far as the "electronic" end of it??

Is it a simple plug and paly into the harness, or are wiring modifications needed? Once installed, will this interact with the EVIC like the OEM?

Anybody wanna provide a "tutorial" on doing this?
