Cool MP3 player and disc creation

Hey 300 family:

Is anyone having trouble creating or playing a MP3 disc in their car. I have been up all night trying to create a MP3 disc and I finally was able to rip a disc to my computer using windows media player 10. I then used a drag and drop method to send them from the computer to a blank formatted disc. After putting only three albums on there
i ran out to the car to see if it would work and when I inserted the disc it said"improper disc" PLEASE HELP.

Thanks

I wouldn't mess with Windows Media player. Use an MP3 ripper/player instead. There are many out there but I mostly use the free Music Match software. You can download it here.

http://musicmatch.com/download/free/...as ic_jbpromo

It's quite easy to setup and convert CD's to MP3's. I've never had any problems with it and the disks have played in all MP3 players that I've ever tried them on including my crappy 3 year old DVD player.

I used NERO 5 (or 6). Make sure the CD format is ISO and you shouldn't have any problems.

Which radio do you have? The basic radio will not play mp3s. The 6 disc radio will play them, but do not go over 100-150 mp3s per disc. For some reason the radio acts up when you put too many mp3s.

Yup, if you burn over a 100 mp3's the disc will get stuck and will not work. I don't know why it does this but it kind of sucks that you can burn max mp3's on one disc.

Really? I've played over 100 and it was ok. Can't say I've gone past 150 though, since space doesn't allow if they are a high enough bitrate or are VBR. Nero works well as mentioned above. I do like the ability to select directories... works out well.

I have a question for you audiophiles. I have a Nero CD burner and want to download all my CD's to MP3 format. Is there a free download site where I can store my CD's prior to burning? This may be a stupid question but when I download my CD, does it do it at super speed or do I have to wait for it to go through the whole disc at normal speed? I have over 200 discs in my car and I will be really old (older) if I have to wait.

I do have Limewire on my computer. Will this be good enough? Thxs.

250 MP3s

I love to listen to MP3s in my car. I also listen to alot of books on cd in MP3 format driving back and forth to work. I believe the limit is 250 MP3s and that is what I have found with my audiobooks. No issues and have listened to 15+ audio books and 20+ burned MP3s cds that are over 100 songs. Too many freaking CD sitting in my car.

I should just buy a 30GB IPOD and have the stereo MOD done.
