I really can not hear the sub in my car, I can feel it move when I touch it. So I took it in guess what, they say as long as it is moving then it is working properly. What bullcrap, I have an 8 inch sub in the back of my Expedition and I have had a few people ask me to turn it down when they are riding in the back seat. With this piece of crap you couldn't tell it was working unless it was ridding in your lap.

Serious question....not a bitch session!

I just received my car on Monday and havent adjusted the stereo yet. It has SGII...yadayada. On my drive home from the dealership, I discover the following:

My damn Kenwood 200 watt 4 channel receiver pushing 2 JBL seperates and 2 JBL full range is TWICE as loud as the SGII??? Something HAS to be wrong...granted, the bass was better than my old car...but what gives? The SGII doesn't sound in the same neighborhood as my parents '96 Maxima Bose system! That damn thing will blow your ears off and be clear.

Do I need to turn an amp on somewhere, is it in the settings...am I F'n crazy??

It's a decent system for us older folks (38 y/o) who like moderately loud music. It's a pile of crap for you younger guys that really like loud music and thumping bass. The panel below the rear speakers in the trunk rattles like mad at times too. Sorry to disappoint you.....

I understand kcrn, but I wasn't expecting anything outlandish.

For 368 watts (if thats true)...I was expecting clarity and decent volume. I had the windows down...I'm sure that effected it. Maybe I just need to tweak the radio some.

Also....why are the speakers in the rear covered in the trunk? Shouldn't they be free-flowing into the massive trunk space?

Hmmm...I need to look at it all. Just got the car, havent even been in it since Monday on the ride home.

Just to update....

I STAND CORRECTED!

I got in her last night and my EQ was flat....made ALL the difference in the world! Liek I said, I hadn't even had time to read-up on the stereo. It sounds DAMN good for a factory, and yes...it is loud enough and has good bass.

Sorry for beating a dead horse, but I was happy to find what I payed for!
