rear ves system/ 05 srt8

hey guys i have a 2005 srt8 300c with the navigation and sirus radio i want to try and see if it possible to upgrade to the rear ves with the factory console that comes with the late 06 and 07 cars.

and if possible where could i pick up these items links or so..

Frank, we gotta talk!!! Send me your VIN in a PM if you'd like to know a few things about your car. As a fellow 2005 300C SRT8 owner, I'm curious to see where you fit into the 252 + 11 pilots that were built.

Please tell me you still have the ORIGINAL 2 piece front fascia/lip spoiler!!!

Sorry, can't answer your question on the VES, but as you may be aware, that and TPM's are the ONLY differences in 2005 and EARLY 2006's.

hey rambit hey still have the orginal 2 pc lip spoiler, car has 18000 miles only, really only gets driven on the weekend bought it used from a car dearlership it had 13000 miles when i got it back in feb of this year.

Yes you can install the VES . There is a harness that replaces your sirus radio only harness and includes the VES plug to the center console . Then you just install the player and screen in your current console plug it in and away you go . Now I am pretty sure Mopar sells a complete retrofit kit with all the parts needed . I am sure its not cheap but it is doable

BTW, grunt works at the Brampton Assembly Plant, so he knows what he's talking about re the VES thing.

cool when you say replaces sirus harness, does that mean i can still use the sat radio just has a extra section to plug in the rear dvd right??

thanks for your help will look into mopar and see if they have a retro fit kit of sort ,

Yes you can still use your sirus , the new harness just has one extra plug on it for the VES system

Rage, you could find the whole kit on ebay for a lot less than the dealer.

No problem. Hey, you might get lucky and find the word "grunt" somewhere on your car!!! Ya never know, but mine has it on the ABS pump.
