All Mopar Accessories contain detailed instruction sheets for installation. You can easily install this in 20 minutes.

Questions.......

I guess it only comes in a grey exterior. I wonder how that will look sitting on a jade dash?

How hard is it to switch memory cards? I am in Philly. I frequently travel over to NJ and down to Delaware. PA, NJ, and DE are on 3 different memory cards!
Grrrr....

Actually the new Chrysler 'Summer 2005 Travel Guide' (received yesterday from DCX) contains a $25 rebate coupon for this exact unit if purchased from your local Chrysler dealership. Coupon is valid through 10/01/05.

My Navus system with the complete US mapping (One memory card) is at my local dealership waiting to be installed. I will let everyone know the latest status when completed.

I have great news regarding the NAVUS system. My dealer installed/verified the operation of the unit taking just over an hour. The system works well with easy visual and voice prompts. Touch screen operation is intuitive and easy to program. I’m very pleased and satisfied with the product and would recommend to those looking for an alternative NAV system. If you travel nation wide make sure to order the complete North American (US) card. BTW, as the in dash system, you can not change destination while car is in motion.

Willie47, have you had any exposure to the stock, in-dash nav unit? I would be interested in any observations you or anyone has on the o.e.m. versus the Navus.

Frank29,

I do not have exposure to the in stock unit. I did not purchase it because I could not see replacing my 6 CD changer unit just for NAV capabilities. Yes, I could have sold it on eBay; however for me it would be a nuisance. As I stated in previous messages, this unit works well and has touch screen commands. The "Find" command curtails key stroking and makes finding items such as restaurants, gas station, hospital and the like very easy. You can also locate via zip code, state, location name as well as other utilities. Voice commands are delivered from the unit’s internal speaker (with volume control) and are clear and precise. Visual commands when using route to destination are small when traveling long distant but when turning instructions are given the screen resolution changes displaying turning directions with street names. At the same time, it also displays distant to turn as well as speed, direction, and time to reach destination. I hope this helps.

Wille47, your observations do help; although, the wishy-washy side of me hasn't gotten off the fence yet. The one sentance I cropped out of your posting references a concern I have with the Navus...that being the display size....I am correct in understanding that overall the display size is not a distractant?
