HELP! My REJ Nav woes continue.

As some of you may have read in an earlier post, I got stuck with an REJ Nav unit off an internet deal gone bad. Nocturnal Imports BAD!

So I manage to sell the item on eBay to recover some of my costs for the item. eBay GOOD!

Now the Buyer contacted me and asked me for anti-theft code. Code BAD!
I don't have no stinkin' anti-theft code!

Is there ANY WAY to find out what the code is on an REJ Nav unit? Would a dealer be able to retirive that information? If someone replaces their factory stereo and sell it, how do they get the code?

Can anyone here help?

Joe

I'd like to know how this pans out. This has happened several times here, but we never got to know what the outcome was. As you see the thread Steve linked to left it hanging.

Well, so far I am still hanging. I went through guys in the service and parts department of a couple local dealers and all I accomplished was a wasted morning in unproductive conversation.

This REJ unit just keeps costing me more headache and money.

There is a reason that all the threads regarding REJ codes are never resolved... it is because I don't think that they can be.

I have contacted DCX/ALPINE - they claim that the unit is not an Alpine unit so they cannot help. They suggested that I contact Mopar, but I have been unable to get a number.

As I was searching on the internet I came accross a program that claimed to provide codes for Chrysler radios. After the purchase I learn that the REJ model is NOT included in the software.

I have a hard time believing that the only way you can install an REJ unit is if you have the piece of paper that lists the units code. Is there no scan tool that can read the code from the unit or a database at the manufacturer that records this information?

I don't understand the mystery behind these codes.
