Uconnect in my 08...

well i finaly have a complaint...a problem...MAYBE I'm not doing something right...or maybe There is an easy solution to my problem. Every once in a while when trying to make a phone call using my Uconnect she will say "Phone is not available". I hit the uconnect button, say "call So n so" just like i always do, and it says "phone is not available"

Some times i say call so n so and it goes right through. done deal, but other times..."Phone is not available". And if she says it once...that woman means it. I try over and over and it keeps saying the same thing. I've tried turning off my phone and starting it again. NO LUCK. Ive tried to Pair my devices...NO LUCK.

I dunno what else to do. I'll do what i gotta do and get back in the car...sometimes it works fine. But 50-50 sux...i want my stuff to work like it's supposed to 100% of the time. I mean isn't that why we spend the extra $$$ on it?

i sure hope someone has a great idea or a "quick fix".

Thanks ahead of time for all your help.

Aaron"."

I saw your post earlier, had a look around, but I didn't see anything of value. I'd suggest sending ResumeSpeed a PM cuz he seems pretty up to date on MyGig and Uconnect. He may not see this thread in this forum because he mainly hangs around the SRT forum. Sorry, hope it works out and I'm kinda interested in this as well. My new Jeep will have the same system as yours.

Blue tooth always on?

For reasons that I haven't yet figured out, my phone/PDA (a T-Mobile wing) sometimes goes into flight mode or turns off blue tooth without my having turned it off myself. Perhaps I'm inadvertently turning off bluetooth when my phone is in my pocket.

In any event, almost every time I've gotten the phone not available message, it's been because the blue tooth connection on my phone was off, and not because UConnect wasn't working properly.

The one time I was sure that my blue tooth was turned on and I still got the "phone not available" message, I repaired the phone and UConnect and they worked fine after that.

According the the Chrysler site, that is a 'approved' phone, so I would take the car to the dealer.
