sirius sattelite

Hey guy i have a non nav/ non sattelite 6 disc changer radio. I just picked up a oem chrysler sirius tuner, antenna and it came with a jeep harness since it was in an 05 cherokee.
I pretty much know i need the specific harness for 300 since i dont have it. But i do have plans down the line to add a nav in dash unit. So i dont know if this has been answered but is there an antenna that controlls both nav and sirius as one unit? If so before installing sirius i will just get this antenna with plans down the line to add nav.

Also i think my radio will work with sirius even though it doesnt have specific sattelite buttons. What buttons will operate my sat radio?
thanks in advance,
todd

Sure we alls love ya!

Honestly don't know where the GPS antena is located, but I'm fairly sure it is NOT with the Sat. antena on the roof.

Not the same, the nav antenna is under the dash. The Sat antenna is on the roof.

i added the sirius to my car and didnt want to drill the roof. I put the antenna under the dash too (plastic doesnt block satellite signals). My GPS antenna is under there too. I am pretty sure there isnt a single antenna for both purposes, but having both under the dash causes no issues so why worry?

well not of choice i am just a sound quality nerd and if i am losing any quality then i will be sure to put the antenna on the roof to regain quality... i guess before getting the dewalt out i should really just leave the antenna mounted in the car somewhere and if i am bothered then i came make a drastic move and have a few holes put in the roof.

I forgot to ask on my regular non/nav radio 6-disc oem how does the sirius end up working.. i think its possible but am just curious what buttons will control the sattelite radio and will i still see station names or song names pop up or do i sacrifice that feature??

Sirius would work with either REC or RAQ (6CD MP-3). I'm not sure which one you've got, but REF might not work with it.
