I'm torn: woofer or amp

OK, I have the 06 CSRT with 13 speaker kicker livin loud system, but I am NOT livin loud. Essentially, not enough boom for me and with two kids in the back I am NOT going to fold the seats down. Also, I do NOT want to drop $800 for the dual subs and loose the ability to fold the seats down.

SO, do I do the in car AMP upgrade...as I understand it all I get is surround sound? OR...do I go for teh after market amp and sub? All opinions welcome.

ps, I am NOT an audio installer so the easier solution the better, I just don't want to waste my time.....and I would hate to install the ampm when the sub was what was needed. PS, any help in terms of makes / models that people used for after factory installs is appreciated.

to summarize, just looking for some low end base and I cannot even here the woofer back there.....help!!

I hate to be the one to break it to you...but you'll have to step up to a decent size sub and amp. Yeah, I know it sucks.

You could drop the cash for the 400W door-mounted subwoofers that (I think?) JBL produce specifically for the 300C. They come with all the mouldings to fit in place, and the amps are fitted inside the moulding. Although you may already have those.
